Prof. Dr. A.F.M. Saiful Amin is a highly respected educator and engineer specializing in sustainable infrastructure and disaster resilience. As a professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Dr. Amin is recognized for his contributions to improving engineering education and infrastructure development in Bangladesh. He also serves as Vice Chairman and Acting Chairman of the Board of Accreditation for Engineering and Technical Education at the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh, which is a provisional signatory of the Washington Accord.

Director, BUET Institute for Disaster Prevention and Urban Safety
- Leads research in disaster management, risk reduction, and workforce development in disaster preparedness. Currently heads Bangladesh’s largest earthquake-related disaster management project in collaboration with Japan, aiming to inform national policy on disaster risk reduction.

- Provides expertise in the design, construction, maintenance, and health monitoring of major infrastructure, including the Bangabandhu Bridge, Kanchpur-Meghna-Gumti bridges, Dhaka Elevated Expressway, and Payra Bridge, among others.
